Scottsdale Auction Draws Record Bidder Turnout

Barrett-Jackson Wraps Record-Setting Scottsdale Auction

The rumble of rare engines may have quieted at WestWorld, but the numbers from Barrett-Jackson's 54th Scottsdale Auction are still making noise across the collector car world.

The eight-day automotive extravaganza wrapped up January 25 with some eye-popping figures. More than 6,500 bidders competed for 1,911 no-reserve vehicles, generating over $191 million in sales. That's nearly $200 million worth of horsepower and chrome changing hands right here in our backyard.

The undisputed star of the show was a gorgeous 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing Coupe that hammered at $2.53 million. A stunning 1961 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster followed at $1.87 million.

Beyond the big-ticket items, Barrett-Jackson continued its legendary commitment to charity. Nine vehicles raised nearly $5.9 million for charitable causes, pushing the company's lifetime charitable contributions past $170 million. A one-of-one 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X Stars and Steel Limited Edition stole hearts when it sold for $2.6 million to benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Celebrity sightings added extra sparkle to the proceedings. Grammy-nominated singer Linda Perry rolled her 1967 Camaro onto the block while performing her hit song. Drew Brees, Tim Allen, Erik Estrada, and Frankie Muniz also made appearances.

Even the smaller stuff commanded attention. Automobilia sales reached $4.7 million, with a 1920s Maple Leaf Gasoline pump fetching over $80,000.

For those who missed it, Barrett-Jackson heads to Palm Beach in April before an inaugural Columbus auction in June.
