Dill With It: Scottsdale's Pickle Fest Is Back

Old Town Scottsdale has seen its share of themed festivals, but few have the sheer briny audacity of the Scottsdale Pickle Fest. The beloved celebration of everyone's favorite fermented cucumber returns to Wasted Grain on Saturday, March 7, kicking off at noon and running all afternoon for guests 21 and older.

Presented by Camelback Events, the fest is exactly what it sounds like — and more. Admission includes a complimentary pickleback whiskey shot and access to a lineup of vendors serving up some of the most gloriously pickle-forward food and drinks you'll find anywhere in the Valley. Think Sonoran pickle dogs, pickle martinis, spicy pickle bloody marys, pickle-and-dill margaritas, and a pickle beer tub station that is either the best or worst idea anyone has ever had, depending on your disposition toward fermented brine.

Sweet Dee's Bakeshop — a fellow Scottsdale staple — rounds out the savory lineup with pickle-themed desserts, because apparently the limits of pickle cuisine are entirely imaginary.

Beyond the food, the event delivers live music, face painting, and a 360 photo booth to capture your best pickle face. There's even a photo contest — post your pics to Facebook or Instagram with #CamelbackEvents for a shot at winning. Mr. Pickle himself may even make a surprise appearance.

VIP ticket holders score the same perks plus an exclusive commemorative Scottsdale Pickle Fest T-shirt.

The event is 21-plus with valid ID required. Tickets are available via Eventbrite, with prices increasing as the event approaches. Early buyers also unlock discounts on future Camelback Events.

Wasted Grain is located at 7295 E. Stetson Drive in Old Town Scottsdale.
