75 Years Of Western Week!
Old Town Scottsdale is transforming into a frontier celebration as Western Week returns January 24 through February 1, 2026. This beloved annual tradition honors the cowboy heritage of "The West's Most Western Town" while coinciding with Scottsdale's 75th anniversary year.
The week kicks off with interactive events including a frybread-making workshop at the Scottsdale Waterfront, a Parks and Recreation Wild West Roundup for families at the Civic Center, and Scottsdale's Magical History Tour at the Civic Center Library.
Art lovers won't want to miss the Western Week Gold Palette ArtWalk on Thursday, January 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. Galleries throughout the Scottsdale Arts District will present works inspired by Western heritage, desert landscapes, and cowboy culture.
Western Spirit: Scottsdale's Museum of the West hosts classic Western films, biodramas, and free admission days throughout the celebration. The Pony Express mail delivery arrives on January 30, bringing a taste of frontier communication to modern-day Scottsdale.
The festivities culminate with the 72nd Annual Scottsdale Parada del Sol Historic Parade and Trail's End Festival on Saturday, January 31. Approximately 150 entries including floats, mounted riders, marching bands, and horse-drawn carriages will wind through Old Town. The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. and concludes around noon, followed by the Trail's End Festival from noon to 5 p.m.
Additional activities include roping demonstrations at the Scottsdale Rodeo Museum, a history treasure hunt hosted by the Scottsdale Historical Society, and plenty of opportunities to browse Western boutiques for the perfect cowboy hat or boots.
